Letter From Recruitment Chair
My name is Blake Machen and I am the Recruitment Director for Phi Mu, Alpha Beta Chapter. Recruitment means something different to everyone- some think of recruitment as an overwhelming process, and for others it is exciting and thrilling. Whatever you are feeling, know that recruitment is a fun and valuable process. If you choose to part take in recruitment at the University of Arkansas, I commend you! You are choosing to find a sisterhood that will change your life, and will forever be an irreplaceable support system.
Phi Mu at the University of Arkansas strives to make your recruitment process a relaxing and larger-than-life experience. When I found Phi Mu, I can truly say my life transformed for the better. The unforgettable experiences I get to share with my sisters are not just for these four years; they are for a lifetime. Finding a place to call home is something very special and rewarding, and Phi Mu showed me a unique kind of sisterhood like nothing I had experienced before. Phi Mu has given me more opportunities to be myself than I ever imagined.
I encourage all of you to consider going through recruitment at the University of Arkansas. This week can be tiring and emotional, but in the end, it is totally worthwhile. We have such a close-knit Greek Life community that can not be found anywhere else. I hope you all find your home away from home and sisters that become your family like I have.
